Public website
A responsive identity and navigation system for news, background, media, press, and ways to connect.
Public communication / publishing / media
A public-facing representative website bringing news, press, media, legislative references, and contact pathways into an organized publishing experience.
Homepage: public updates and clear pathways into the representative's work.
THE BRIEF
A representative's website has to make recurring communication easy to find. Newsletters, statements, media appearances, legislative references, and volunteer or contact requests need a home that remains readable as the amount of content grows.
MY APPROACH
I combined an editorial website with the publishing infrastructure behind it. The public design distinguishes news, press, media, and background, while the implementation supports imported newsletter content, individual articles, editable page content, and connected forms.
PROJECT SCOPE
A responsive identity and navigation system for news, background, media, press, and ways to connect.
An import pipeline that turns newsletter material into web articles, including content cleanup and image handling.
Archive listings, individual article pages, dates, images, and readable content presentation.
A separate video and media experience with descriptive entries rather than burying interviews inside unrelated articles.
Published page overrides and administrative content tools within the shared backend project.
Volunteer/contact intake and newsletter signup paths connected to the administrative and follow-up systems.
THE EXPERIENCE
Bring a newsletter, article, or media item into the content system.
Give it a category, title, date, image, and destination.
Present it in a readable public page and archive.
Offer an appropriate contact or subscription next step.
01 / PROJECT DETAIL
An email is not automatically a good web article. The source includes normalization and sanitization work to remove email-specific presentation, preserve useful images and links, and provide a consistent reading structure. That is a publishing problem as much as a layout problem.
The resulting content can appear in archives and individual article pages instead of remaining locked in an external mailing archive. Metadata, image selection, and reusable article structure are part of that work.
02 / PROJECT DETAIL
The project shares Firebase and administrative infrastructure with the broader Ryan Chamberlin properties, while maintaining its own public identity and content purpose. Server-rendered routes, publishing records, signup handling, and administrative editing support the public pages.
The public site can maintain its own editorial identity while reusing content and operational tools behind the scenes. That balance is important when one person has several distinct brands and audiences, each with a different reason to visit.
